Job Description
We are looking for a visionary VP, Late Development Team Lead with a strong background in oncology to join our innovative team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As a critical role in our organization, you will lead the Late Development Team in shaping and executing global product strategies, integrating scientific rationale, clinical and nonclinical development, regulatory considerations, and business strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide cross-functional Late Development Teams from proof of concept to product approval.
- Develop a clear vision and strategy for products, optimizing value for patients.
- Participate in long-range planning processes and develop integrated product development plans.
- Provide strategic direction to functional teams and ensure timely execution of activities.
- Mentor team members, promote team cohesiveness, and optimize team performance.
- Collaborate with leaders to align development strategies and present at governance reviews.
- Ensure effective resource allocation, budget management, and adherence to timelines.
- Engage in disease area assessments and cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- 15+ years of global multidisciplinary drug development experience in pharma/biotech.
- Expertise in late-phase oncology drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Proven ability to lead complex development projects and collaborations.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- MD, PhD, or PharmD required.
