Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Team Member to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall shopping experience for our customers.
Position Details
- Job Type: Full-Time
- Hours: 32-40 hours per week
- Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and ensure well-organized merchandise displays.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while assisting shoppers.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
- Provide feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Adhere to cash handling policies and company procedures.
- Follow established company policies and procedures to maintain security and confidentiality.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
- Skilled in operating a cash register accurately and efficiently.
- Ability to operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
- Experience in maintaining cleanliness to company standards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking.
- Meet all state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
- Equivalency of education and experience considered.
