Store Team Member

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Team Member to join our ALDI family. In this role, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining a clean store environment to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. By working collaboratively with the ALDI team, you will contribute to providing top-notch customer service and enhancing the overall store appearance.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $18.00 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ALDI Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Give feedback on products, inventory, and operational matters
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure accurate stock levels
• Adhere to cash policies and follow established procedures
• Comply with company policies, safeguard data security, and maintain confidentiality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Safe operation of store equipment
• Proficient in general cleaning duties
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Capable of working independently and in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Compliance with state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail work experience is preferred
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
