Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a key member of our store, you will play a crucial role in maintaining product displays, cashiering, and ensuring the store is clean and organized. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with team members, you will contribute to an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
• Offer feedback to management regarding products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses.
• Comply with company policies, maintain document confidentiality, and uphold security standards.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Efficient and accurate operation of cash registers.
• Safe operation of equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness to company standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• Meet state and local requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail experience is a plus.
