Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our ALDI team. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and working collaboratively with our team, you will contribute to enhancing the overall customer shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Assist customers with their shopping experience and provide excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate with store management.
• Report feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
• Participate in store inventory counts following guidelines and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash handling policies to minimize losses and comply with company procedures.
• Follow established company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Skilled in operating a cash register and store equipment.
• Capable of meeting cleaning and safety standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently.
• Meet local requirements for alcohol handling and sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience is a plus.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
