Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, stocking, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) consistently.
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers during their visit.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate with store management.
• Contribute feedback to management on products, inventory, and operational issues.
• Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Adhere to cash management policies to prevent losses.
• Comply with company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to work at ALDI.
• Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Skilled in operating a cash register and store equipment safely and efficiently.
• Capable of following cleaning standards, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Detail-oriented and organized with the capacity to multitask.
• Ability to meet all state and local requirements for alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
• Combination of education and relevant experience is acceptable.
