Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a vital part of our store operations, you will be responsible for merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. By providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with the Aldi team, you will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience for our customers.
Job Type
Full-Time (32-40 hours per week)
Starting Wage
$17.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) required for the role.
- Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and store management.
- Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and any issues to management.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow cash handling policies to minimize losses and uphold company standards.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and maintain document security and confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
- Efficient operation of a cash register and store equipment.
- Capable of general cleaning duties and following company policies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior retail experience is a plus, but a combination of education and experience will be considered.
