Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at ALDI. As a Store Associate, your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's appearance. You will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experience by providing exceptional customer service and collaborating with the ALDI team.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and ensure organized product displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management
• Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in store inventory counts
• Adhere to cash policies and minimize losses
• Follow company policies, procedures, and uphold confidentiality

Physical Demands

• Ability to stock and place products weighing up to 45 pounds
• Required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and walk around the store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or above
• Efficient cash register operation and ability to use store equipment
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to follow instructions and multi-task
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail experience preferred
