Job Description

We are looking to hire a Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the store's operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining the store's cleanliness to provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Position Details

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
  • Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the required competencies for the role.
  • Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and stock shelves neatly.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
  • Report feedback to management on products, inventory, and other issues.
  • Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Follow cash handling policies and company procedures.
  • Adhere to all company policies, maintain confidentiality, and uphold security standards.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Stock merchandise and place products on shelves.
  • Perform various physical activities in the store environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
  • Ability to deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
  • Efficient operation of a cash register with accuracy.
  • Safe operation of equipment such as hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
  • Follow company cleaning standards and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Work effectively in a team or independently.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently.
  • Meet all state and local regulations related to alcohol sales.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior retail experience is an advantage.
  • Combination of education and experience is acceptable.
