Staff Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a diligent Staff Accountant to join the team at AstroNova Inc. This role involves overseeing daily cost accounting transactions, maintaining data integrity in the ERP system, and ensuring accurate inventory accounting in compliance with GAAP and internal control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily cost accounting transactions within a manufacturing environment and maintain ERP system data integrity.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions in accordance with accounting standards.
• Lead month-end accounting close, ensuring accuracy of reports and process efficiency improvements.
• Analyze monthly sales, margins, and manufacturing variances, presenting findings to management.
• Coordinate annual inventory count, cost revaluation, and financial audit.
• Identify and implement process improvements in ERP system and related areas.
• Support strategic initiatives within the Supply Chain organization.
• Document and maintain general and cost accounting processes and internal controls.
• Develop and manage cycle count program and assist in annual budget development.
• Handle other assigned duties as necessary.

Requirements

Experience: 3 years in manufacturing, familiarity with cost accounting systems, BOM process, and ERP software (NetSuite preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

Training: Continuous cost accounting training, CMA pursuit encouraged, and adherence to Quality Policy and procedures training.
