Social Worker/ Mental Health Counselor

Job Description

Outreach Development Corp. is currently looking to hire a Part-Time Social Worker/Mental Health Counselor for their Adolescent Residential Program in Brentwood, NY. This position involves providing direct clinical services in a substance abuse treatment setting, with a schedule of 19 hours per week (preferably evenings).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate various counseling formats professionally and ethically.
• Manage caseload from entry to discharge, focusing on appropriate care levels.
• Provide backup coverage in the absence of clinical staff.
• Address program issues with the Program Director to enhance service delivery.
• Participate in quality improvement programs and data-driven service enhancements.

Requirements

• Advanced degree required, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC preferred.
• Relevant experience in substance abuse and mental health disorders.
• Experience with AVATAR electronic health records is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish or Polish is advantageous.
