Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Director, Pharmacometrics to join our innovative team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. In this position, you will play a critical role in leading and overseeing pharmacometrics programs for both small and large molecule compounds in the oncology field. You will be responsible for strategic planning, regulatory filings, modeling & simulations, and fostering a culture of continued process improvement to drive the success of our drug development initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, oversight, and analysis of pharmacometrics programs from discovery through post-marketing.
- Apply model-informed drug development principles to guide decision-making processes.
- Manage and mentor a team of pharmacometricians, ensuring high scientific standards and innovation.
- Represent Jazz Pharmaceuticals as a thought leader in pharmacometrics, interacting with regulatory agencies and evaluating in-licensing candidates.
- Stay abreast of regulatory guidelines and scientific literature to inform internal projects.
Requirements
- PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, statistics, mathematics, or a related field with 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record in drug development, regulatory interactions, and successful contributions to NDAs and BLAs.
- Expertise in quantitative analyses, pharmacokinetics, and disease modeling using software such as NONMEM and R.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage collaborations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in oncology is preferred.
