Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a member of the Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients before, during, and after surgical/invasive procedures.

Unit Description

The focus of patient care will include pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, post-procedure evaluation, complication prevention, pain management, and patient/family education.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality care using the nursing process.
• Assure a coordinated perioperative experience for patients.
• Acquire competency in two of the three Perioperative Services areas.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
• Minimum two years of med/surg nursing experience.
• ACLS certification required, PALS within 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
