Job Description
We are currently looking for a dedicated On-Call Registered Nurse to join our team at Hospice of Holland Inc. This position involves providing skilled nursing care for hospice patients both in person and via telephone. As part of the on-call team, you will collaborate with other team members to deliver exceptional end-of-life care to our patients and their caregivers.
Openings
We have openings for On-Call Registered Nurses on various shifts:
- Weekday Full Time OCRN: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on three weekdays.
- Weekday Part Time OCRN: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on two weekdays.
- Weekday Night Part Time OCRN: 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
- Weekend Day Part Time OCRN: Every other Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Weekend Night Part Time OCRN: Every other Friday and Saturday night from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. (primary on-call) and additional shifts on Saturday and Sunday.
The salary for this position ranges from $32.75 to $41.50 with a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Responding to patient and caregiver needs in person or via phone.
- Formulating clinical responses to maintain patient comfort and quality of life.
- Collaborating with the on-call team members.
- Educating patients and documenting interactions.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current RN licensure in Michigan.
- 2 years of clinical experience preferred, with homecare or hospice experience.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment skills.
- Knowledge of pain management in end-of-life care.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
