Job Description
The Gabriel South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking a part-time Overnight Engineer to ensure the property is maintained in top condition with minimal disruption to guests and staff. As an integral team member, you will be responsible for repairs, maintenance, and adherence to local, state, and Federal codes.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel air conditioning system, including changing filters and cleaning coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment such as boilers, chillers, and electrical systems.
- Complete plumbing repairs, furniture repairs, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
- Read and understand blueprints, repair water lines, and test/clean swimming pools.
- Paint designated areas, repair sheet rock and wall coverings, and program electronic lock systems.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent with experience in a hotel or related field.
- At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Trade school or College course work in a related field is beneficial.
- Flexibility for long hours and physical work is required.
