As a Phlebotomist, you will play a vital role in our 656-bed hospital by ensuring accurate specimen collection, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and providing patient-centered care. Responsibilities

• Promote professionalism and support a cooperative working environment.
• Obtain specimens following laboratory guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with care providers about patient data.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Follow procedural directions and prioritize workload efficiently.
• Ensure proper specimen packaging, transport, and accessioning.
• Adhere to infection control practices and perform drug screen collection.
• Recognize emergent conditions and react appropriately.
• Provide phlebotomy services in a patient-centered manner.
• Engage in self-evaluation for continuous improvement.
• Accountability for the quality of patient care.
• Promote service excellence and support laboratory growth.
• Collaborate with various departments within the hospital/health system.
• Perform arterial punctures and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience
• Experience working in a clinical setting
