Part Time Registered Nurse - Cardiac and Vascular Care

Job Description

We are looking for a Part-Time Registered Nurse to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network, specializing in Cardiac and Vascular Care. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the care of post-procedural extended recovery and observational care patients. Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes, you will play a key role in directing and guiding the delivery of nursing care, patient education, and various related activities while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate care for post-procedural patients in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Direct and guide the delivery of nursing care, patient education, and related activities.
• Maintain professional nursing standards and collaborate with other disciplines.

Requirements

• Active BLS or ACLS certification (ACLS within 6 months of hire).
• Completion of Cardiac Rhythm course within 3 to 6 months.
• Completion of Critical Care course within 3 to 6 months.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Unit Description

The role involves managing and coordinating care for post-procedural patients in the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

On-Call

No on-call duty required for this position.
