Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join Aveanna Healthcare. As an LPN, you will be responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, while ensuring adherence to care plans, physician orders, and professional standards.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Continuously assess patient condition and report changes to supervisors.
  • Document all care activities, assessments, and coordination promptly.
  • Implement and update nursing care plans.
  • Take appropriate nursing actions based on assessments to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes and self-care techniques.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance.

Preferences

  • Six months of recent clinical care experience as a Licensed Nurse.
  • Home health experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel and lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to reposition patients, move equipment, bend, stand, and walk.
  • Visual and hearing acuity, smell and touch senses.

Environment

Must be able to work in various environments with potential exposure to allergens, blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
