Job Description
The Gabriel South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton is seeking an Overnight Engineer to ensure the property is maintained in optimal condition at all times, minimizing inconvenience to guests and staff. If you have a passion for maintenance and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the air conditioning system, including changing filters and cleaning coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
- Test and record readings on equipment to ensure functionality.
- Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, and fixtures as needed.
- Perform furniture repair, plumbing repairs, and painting tasks.
- Understand and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
- Maintain detailed repair and maintenance records.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; trade school or college coursework helpful.
- Minimum one year of progressive maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work flexible hours as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.
- Capable of multitasking and cross-training in various areas.
- Confidentiality, initiative, and guest-focused mentality essential.
