Maintenance Technician - Residence Inn by Marriott Morgan Hill

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician/ Engineer, Level 1, at Residence Inn by Marriott Morgan Hill is responsible for maintaining the property in optimal condition with minimum inconvenience to guests and staff. Duties include performing repairs and preventive maintenance on various equipment, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
• Test and record readings on equipment.
• Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, and fixtures.
• Perform plumbing repairs and furniture repair.
• Understand and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
• Paint, repair sheet rock, wall coverings, locks, and more.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with experience in a hotel or related field.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school or college coursework in a related field is helpful.
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact courteously with guests and employees.
• Capability to handle heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment.
