Maintenance Mechanic 2

Job Description

We are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to join the Koozie Group team in Red Wing, Minnesota. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for keeping plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair with minimal technical guidance. This role involves troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and working on various building and production equipment to ensure efficient operation.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Use a variety of tools and materials in machine and building maintenance.
• Notify internal and external resources for major repairs, work with machine vendors, and assist in equipment installation.
• Complete forms, records, and reports accurately to document project status.
• Develop and carry out preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain effective working relationships, support teamwork, and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ensure a safe work environment and perform light construction projects as needed.
• May be required to work irregular hours or handle unexpected mechanical breakdowns.
• Perform minor computer setups or repairs as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in mechanical repairs, wiring, electrical systems, power tools, welding, HVAC, and more.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent, trade school/certifications preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and knowledge of quality methods.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass pre-employment screenings.
