Job Description
The La Quinta San Antonio - Riverwalk is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the property is well-maintained and operational with minimal disruptions to guests and employees. This role involves completing work orders and addressing repair issues promptly. The position may require evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Perform various maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, touch-up painting, furniture repairs, and HVAC maintenance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment such as ice machines, refrigerators, plumbing, and laundry facilities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, determine emergency status, and report findings.
- Complete other assigned tasks from supervisors or managers.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Licensure in a relevant trade (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC) is desirable.
- Valid driver's license for the state and a satisfactory MVR are necessary.
