Job Description

L.L.Bean is seeking a 2nd Shift licensed Industrial Master Electrician or Journeymen who is ready to sit for the Master exam to work in their fast-paced, high-tech Order Fulfillment Center in Freeport. This full-time position offers a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Position Purpose

In this crucial role, the Industrial Master Electrician will perform senior-level electrical maintenance functions, ensuring the transmission, distribution, utilization, and control of electrical energy up to 600 volts AC. They will also serve as an electrical safety oversight resource across the company, advising leaders, engineers, project managers, and risk management on electrical safety concerns in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level support for complex electrical maintenance problems across departments.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on various industrial equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair automated industrial PLC-controlled equipment using computer skills.
• Install, maintain, and support complex robotics, sorting, auto-bagging, scanning, and vision systems.
• Oversee the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of power distribution systems and lighting systems.
• Adhere to state guidelines for handling Universal Waste and maintain a safe work environment.
• Act as a mentor to junior electricians and collaborate with internal clients on technology requirements.
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage as needed and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Master Electrician license required.
• 6 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Knowledge and experience with NEC and NFPA 70E.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical controls and read blueprints.
• Self-motivated, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Experience working at heights and operating boom trucks and lifts.
• Proficient in operating a personal computer and responding to 24/7 on-call rotation.
