Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join Aldi's team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in store management, overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring store performance, managing schedules, and fostering team development. You will collaborate with the direct leader to enhance operational efficiency and promote a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement action plans to drive operational improvement.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Promote company values to build a cohesive and productive team environment.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and suggest strategies to stay ahead.
  • Provide feedback on product assortment and customer preferences.
  • Participate in hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store with proper stock levels.
  • Maximize sales through effective product merchandising.
  • Supervise daily operations, escalating issues as needed.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures while ensuring customer service excellence.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in cash register operation and equipment management.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years retail experience; management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, personnel costs, and expense management.
