Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Store Manager to join Aldi's team. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital role in store management, overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring store performance, managing schedules, and fostering team development. You will collaborate with the direct leader to enhance operational efficiency and promote a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement action plans to drive operational improvement.
- Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
- Identify training opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Promote company values to build a cohesive and productive team environment.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and suggest strategies to stay ahead.
- Provide feedback on product assortment and customer preferences.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding processes.
- Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized store with proper stock levels.
- Maximize sales through effective product merchandising.
- Supervise daily operations, escalating issues as needed.
- Uphold company policies and procedures while ensuring customer service excellence.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in cash register operation and equipment management.
- Adherence to company policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 3 years retail experience; management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of budgeting, personnel costs, and expense management.
