Jazz Pharmaceuticals is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to innovating and transforming the lives of patients and their families. We are looking for an Executive Director to lead the Late Development Team, focusing on Oncology products. This position plays a critical role in the late-stage product lifecycle, working across multiple functions to progress and de-risk products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the cross-functional Late Development Team(s) from proof of concept to approval.
- Establish product vision and strategy in collaboration with matrix teams.
- Identify global development opportunities balancing risks, timelines, and value.
- Participate in strategic planning processes and governance reviews.
- Provide guidance to functional matrix teams and ensure resource alignment.
- Mentor team members and drive accountability for product strategy execution.
- Collaborate with leaders to optimize product value and mitigate risks.
- Manage project budget, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Engage in strategic partnerships and cross-molecule initiatives.
- Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the enhancement of team structures, processes, and resources.
Requirements:
- Over 15 years of global multidisciplinary drug development experience in pharma/biotech.
- Prior leadership in late-stage drug development programs with a successful track record.
- Expertise in Solid Tumor Oncology drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams successfully.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and influential leadership abilities.
- MD, PhD, or PharmD degree required.
