Engineering Manager

Job Description

Graduate Roosevelt Island, part of the Graduate Hotels collection, is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. This role involves assuming administrative, financial, and operational responsibilities in the absence of the Director.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to maintain property, equipment, and assets.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
• Supervise and train Engineering staff in various areas.
• Create and manage Engineering staff schedules.
• Participate in budgeting, financial forecasting, and profit/loss reviews.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs and oversee equipment inspections.
• Lead energy conservation efforts and handle guest maintenance requests promptly.
• Review and address guest and meeting planner feedback.
• Manage vendor contracts and assist with special projects and renovations.
• Support Highgate Hotel programs and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in hospitality or related fields.
• FLSD certification and stationary engineer’s license preferred.
• Skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent necessary.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work long hours.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented, service-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Compliance with safety standards, regulations, and hotel operations.

Salary

$60,000-$65,000 per year
