Job Description
The Ketch Inn & Marina is seeking an Engineer, Level 1, for a seasonal position from April to September 2024. As an Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the property in top condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. This role involves a range of repair and maintenance duties to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on various equipment such as boilers, HVAC systems, electrical systems, etc.
- Replace light switches, televisions, plumbing fixtures, and undertake furniture repair.
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
- Perform painting, wall repairs, sheet rock finishing, and other maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required; hotel experience preferred.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field advantageous.
- Ability to exert physical effort, communicate effectively, and multitask.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to attend meetings, maintain high personal grooming standards, and comply with safety regulations.
Salary
$18 - $20 per hour
