Engineer (Seasonal April - September)

Job Description

The Engineer (Seasonal April - September) at Salmon Falls Resort is responsible for maintaining the property in top condition, minimizing disruptions for customers and staff. The role involves a variety of tasks including air conditioning system repairs, equipment maintenance, readings on machinery, TV replacements, plumbing repairs, and more.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system: change filters, clean coils, replace motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Take required readings on equipment and record.
• Test cooling tower and record readings.
• Replace and program televisions as needed.
• Perform furniture repairs and finish.
• Replace and repair pumps and plumbing systems.
• Understand blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
• Paint designated areas and repair wall coverings.
• Repair and program electronic lock systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school or college coursework helpful.
• Effective communication skills and ability to handle heavy work.
• Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attend required trainings and maintain high standards of appearance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate initiative.

Salary

$18 - $20/hour
