Engineer

Job Description

The Gabriel South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton is looking for a dedicated Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the property in optimal condition while ensuring minimal disruption to guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Take readings on equipment and test cooling tower.
• Replace and program televisions, light switches, and fixtures.
• Perform furniture repair, plumbing repairs, and understand blueprints.
• Trace and repair water lines and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
• Paint designated areas and finish sheet rock.
• Repair various wall coverings and electronic lock systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school or college coursework in a related field helpful.
• Ability to work flexible and long hours when required.
• Must possess effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a service-oriented manner.
• Attendance at hotel meetings and trainings required.
• Compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations.
• Ability to handle and solve problems efficiently.
