Overview
The Engineer 2nd Class - A/C plus Boilers is responsible for maintaining the property in optimal condition with minimal inconvenience to customers and employees. You will be working at The Westin New Orleans with stunning views of the Mississippi River and French Quarter.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel air conditioning system, change filters, clean coils, and replace motors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC - Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, electrical systems, etc.
- Test and record readings on various equipment.
- Repair and replace various components including televisions, light switches, plumbing fixtures, pumps, kitchen equipment, and more.
- Maintain repair and maintenance records while ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with experience in a hotel or related field.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to multitask, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Must exhibit a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor with guests and colleagues.
- Attendance at hotel meetings and trainings is required.
