Job Description
The Engineer 2 at Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences is responsible for maintaining the property in the best possible condition with minimal inconvenience to guests and employees. This role involves a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel air conditioning system, including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Test and record readings on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary repairs.
- Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, and other fixtures as needed.
- Perform plumbing repairs, furniture repair, wall coverings, and pump repairs.
- Assist in supervising other engineering staff members and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required, with at least one year of experience in a hotel or related field.
- Preferred: Two or more years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, trade school, or college coursework in a related field.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work flexible hours, and maintain a friendly demeanor at all times.
- Effective communication skills, multitasking abilities, problem-solving skills, and a service-oriented approach to work.
- Must comply with hotel standards, attend required meetings and trainings, and maintain high standards of personal appearance and conduct.
- Must be proactive, maintain confidentiality, show initiative, and cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
