Job Description
The Westin New Orleans is seeking an Engineer, 1st Class, focusing on air conditioning and boilers, to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Engineer level 1, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the property is maintained at the highest standards, minimizing disruptions to guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs and perform preventive maintenance on the air conditioning system and equipment such as boilers, chillers, and HVAC.
- Conduct necessary readings, test cooling tower, replace televisions, light fixtures, and perform furniture repairs.
- Handle plumbing repairs, troubleshoot kitchen equipment, and maintain swimming pools and spas.
- Perform painting, sheet rock finishing, electronic lock system repairs, and more.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; experience in a hotel or related field is required.
- At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Must have city of New Orleans licensure, Boiler, and A/C certifications.
