Job Description
The Balfour Miami Hotel is seeking an Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. As an Engineer, Level 1, you will play a vital role in maintaining the property to the highest standards while minimizing disruptions to guests and staff.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, including changing filters and cleaning coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems, etc.
- Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, light bulbs, fixtures, and more.
- Perform various repairs including plumbing, furniture, pumps, kitchen equipment, and electronic lock systems.
- Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent with experience in a hotel or related field required.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Ability to exert heavy force occasionally and effectively communicate with employees and guests.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ability to multitask, and maintain high standards of appearance and conduct.
- Must attend required meetings and training sessions and demonstrate initiative and confidentiality.
- Hourly Rate: $16.00 + Benefits
