Overview
The Engineer, Level 1, at Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences is responsible for maintaining the property in top condition with minimal inconvenience to guests and staff. Various tasks include repairs, preventive maintenance, testing equipment, troubleshooting, and complying with codes and standards.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to the air conditioning system, change filters, and clean coils.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, and electrical systems.
- Test and record readings on cooling towers.
- Replace televisions, light switches, bulbs, and fixtures as needed.
- Perform furniture, plumbing, pump, and kitchen equipment repairs.
- Maintain records of repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
- Conduct painting, sheet rock, and wall covering repairs.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent, experience in a hotel or related field required.
- Progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- Trade school or college coursework in a related field helpful.
- Effective communication skills and ability to multitask.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work long hours when required.
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Ability to problem-solve, cross-train, and maintain confidentiality.
