Job Description

The Engineer, Level 1, at Hilton Phoenix Airport is responsible for maintaining the property in optimal condition, minimizing inconvenience to customers and employees. This role involves a range of tasks including HVAC maintenance, equipment repairs, plumbing, painting, and more.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to hotel air conditioning system.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
• Test and record readings on equipment.
• Replace and program televisions.
• Perform furniture repair and pump replacements.
• Understand blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Trace and repair water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and maintenance records.
• Test, clean, and repair swimming pools and spas.
• Paint, repair sheet rock, wall coverings, and electronic lock systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Trade school or College course work helpful.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with employees and guests.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask.
• Adhere to safety regulations and hotel standards.
• Ability to understand complex information and cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
• Initiative and ability to anticipate guest or operational needs.
