Engineer 1

Job Description

The Engineer 1 position at Hampton Inn Chandler is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on to maintain the property in top condition while minimizing inconvenience to guests and staff. You will be responsible for conducting various repairs and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment throughout the property.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to the hotel's air conditioning system, including changing filters, cleaning coils, and replacing motors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment such as boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
• Test and record readings on cooling towers and other equipment, as needed.
• Replace and program televisions, light switches, receptacles, bulbs, fixtures, and more.
• Perform furniture repairs, plumbing repairs, and pump replacements.
• Repair and maintain various building components, including walls, water lines, kitchen equipment, and electronic lock systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, with experience in a hotel or related field.
• At least one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
• Trade school or college coursework in a related field is helpful.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and guests, prioritize tasks, and handle various responsibilities.
• Ability to handle heavy work and attend required meetings and trainings.
• Capable of maintaining high standards of appearance, grooming, and complying with hotel standards for safe and efficient operations.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve, maintain confidentiality, anticipate needs, and cross-train in different areas.
• Willingness to perform duties as requested by management and follow hotel protocols.
