Dispatcher

Job Description

We are looking for a diligent Dispatcher to join the Dispatch Department at RICH TRANSPORT LLC. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing driver activities, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining effective communication with internal teams. The role involves entering and monitoring critical information, collaborating with driver managers, and upholding professional standards at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enter and track Bill of Lading details, ETAs, and PTAs regularly.
• Communicate promptly with relevant departments about any potential delays.
• Support driver managers and dispatchers as required.
• Maintain accurate records of company truck mileages driven by drivers.
• Monitor on-time delivery status and escalate issues according to company protocols.
• Conduct daily check calls with drivers and assist colleagues with similar tasks.
• Assist Load Planners/Coordinators when necessary.
• Prepare additional reports or forms upon management request.
• Ensure compliance with driving hours regulations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude in the workplace.

Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Experience in handling dispatch calls efficiently and accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of McLeod database and Manifest preparation.
