Job Description
Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director of Toxicology to manage global nonclinical regulatory and investigative toxicology for assigned portfolio products. As a critical part of the toxicology team, the Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support drug development programs from research to registration and beyond. Reporting to the Head of Toxicology, the ideal candidate will lead toxicology studies, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to early development strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage toxicology studies at external CROs.
- Provide toxicology expertise in cross-functional teams to address potential issues and implement de-risking strategies.
- Contribute to regulatory submissions and document preparation.
- Review and interpret toxicology data, PK/PD correlations, and provide input on discovery and development strategy.
- Collaborate with internal functions and external partners to support drug development.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Pathology, Biochemistry or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry toxicology.
- Experience in managing toxicology studies, CRO interactions, and regulatory submissions.
- Strong knowledge of FDA, EMA, and ICH regulations.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
