Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Cook to join our team at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway. As a Cook, you will work closely with the Chef to prepare and cook meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and uphold food quality standards. You will be responsible for running the kitchen in the Chef's absence and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prep meals by measuring, mixing, and cooking ingredients.
• Maintain food cost, quality, and portion control.
• Ensure all dishes meet the hotel's standard recipes for consistency.
• Assist in banquet functions and maintain kitchen security and safety.

Requirements

• High school diploma required, with at least 3 years of hotel operations experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proficient in using software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, lift weights, and work in varying environmental conditions.

Work Environment

Must be capable of working effectively under pressure, communicating with others, and adapting to changing tasks.
