Job Description

We are looking for a Clinical Development Lead specializing in Solid Tumor Oncology, specifically for Biliary Tract Cancer (BTC) and Gastroesophageal Adenocarcinoma (GEA). As a key member of our team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals, you will lead the late-stage development and life-cycle management of a crucial Oncology asset for BTC and GEA. Your responsibilities will include strategic leadership, clinical development planning, cross-functional collaboration, regulatory compliance, clinical trial oversight, data analysis, risk management, external collaboration, budget and resource management, and people development. You will leverage your experience to successfully navigate the clinical development process, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive innovation in the field of Oncology.

Essential Functions

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for clinical development.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive global clinical development plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of programs.
  • Oversee clinical trials, monitor study progress, and ensure patient safety.
  • Analyze clinical trial data and interpret results for informed decision-making.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to clinical development.
  • Strengthen external collaborations to advance the oncology pipeline.
  • Manage budget allocation and resource planning for efficiency.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the clinical development team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience leading Solid Tumor Oncology asset development successfully.
  • Proven track record of developing high-performing clinical development teams.
  • Executive presence and ability to articulate complex insights effectively.
  • MD required, Board certified Oncologist preferred.
  • Higher postgraduate degree e.g., PhD preferred.
  • Experience in solid tumor oncology, particularly BTC or Gastrointestinal cancers preferred.
