Job Description
The Residence Inn Shelton is seeking a Chief Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations of the engineering division. As a key member of the team, the Chief Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all laws, supervising and training staff, creating schedules, adhering to budgets, and implementing maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement plans for property maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Supervise and train engineering staff in Customer Service, Standard Operating Procedures, and more.
- Create and adhere to the annual departmental budget.
- Implement preventative maintenance programs and ensure all equipment is up to Hotel standards.
- Participate in energy conservation programs and handle maintenance requests promptly.
- Support special projects, renovations, and Safety Committee initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of facilities management experience or equivalent education and related management experience.
- Stationary Engineer's license if required by local code.
- Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations, and maintenance skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work long hours when needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
