Central Sterile Reprocessing Educator

Job Description

We are looking for a Central Sterile Reprocessing Educator to join The University of Vermont Health Network. As a CSR Educator, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing educational programs for Central Sterile Reprocessing staff. Your role includes maintaining high reliability, quality assurance, and employee safety through the assessment of learning needs and establishing educational in-servicing programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement educational programs for CSR staff.
• Maintain IAHCSMM certification for staff.
• Create, evaluate, and update Practice Documents and Policies.
• Stay current on medical reprocessing techniques and developments.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification (CSPDT or CRCST and Certified Endoscope Reprocessing) required.
• Experience in Central Sterile Reprocessing with a technician certification.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Education & Experience

Associate's degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be a graduate of an approved Central Sterile Reprocessing training course. Certification (CSPDT or CRCST and Certified Endoscope Reprocessing) required. Two to five years as a Certified Instrument Specialist required.
