Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Retail Manager to join the team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, and implementing operational action plans. You will play a key role in developing and growing the team, identifying training opportunities, and fostering a sense of teamwork among employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operating results.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
  • Understand and uphold the company's core values and strategies.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and suggest adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Participate in the hiring process and provide feedback on products.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels.
  • Supervise team operations and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in retail management is preferred.
  • Operate a cash register and various store equipment.

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of retail experience.
  • Prior management experience is a plus.
