Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day store activities, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and fostering team growth. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a vital part in ensuring the overall store performance while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operating results.
  • Communicate job responsibilities and expectations to the team for optimal performance.
  • Identify training opportunities to boost team members' skills and performance.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and recommend strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Participate in the hiring process and lead store personnel effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory procedures, product quality standards, and customer service levels.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store.
  • Contribute to achieving payroll budgets and training new employees.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Uphold company policies while ensuring document security and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Prior retail experience with at least 3 years of progressive responsibility.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses management.
  • Proficient in operating retail equipment and handling cash transactions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior management experience is a plus.
