Job Description
As the Assistant General Manager at Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway, you will be responsible for overseeing all hotel operations and providing support to the General Manager. This pivotal role requires directing and coordinating activities to ensure operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and employee success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in daily operations and task assignments.
- Provide training and support to staff and department heads.
- Act as the hotel's public relations representative and engage with industry stakeholders.
- Monitor guest feedback and ensure resolution of guest complaints.
- Participate in employee selection, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold hotel standards and procedures.
- Build strong relationships with staff and departments to maximize operational effectiveness.
- Conduct property inspections and ensure maintenance standards are met.
- Lead and support hotel team members, providing guidance and upholding standards.
- Assist in business planning and emergency response, being available 24/7 as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in hotel management or related field, with experience in hotel operations.
- 5-10 years of hospitality industry experience, including 3-4 years in a similar managerial role.
- Strong management and communication skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software.
Physical Demands
