Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our team at ABF Freight, an ArcBest company. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, supervising, and controlling available resources to ensure the timely, damage-free, and safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts. This role requires assigning job tasks, coordinating work assignments, providing training and feedback, and maintaining a positive and safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and control resources for loading/unloading freight.
• Maintain load plans and ensure proper load balance for safe operation.
• Assign job tasks, monitor performances, and provide feedback.
• Foster safe handling, loading/unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
• Support department goals and our values driven culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in Service Center, transportation, or related fields.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• General knowledge of freight handling techniques.
